BEIJING, May 19 (Xinhua) -- China's top anti-craft official He Guoqiang appreciated on Monday the support from Chongqing Municipality in the relief work of the country's worst disaster in decades.
After mourning quake victims in Beijing Monday afternoon, He immediately flew to Chongqing, a major relief supplier to neighboring Sichuan Province, which was rocked by an 8-magnitude earthquake on May 12.
"People in Chongqing have made great contribution in treating the injured, accommodating the homeless, as well as ensuring medical supply and social stability," He said after being debriefed by local officials.

The quake affected the life of more than two million people in Chongqing and by Sunday, 16 people were reported dead.
He also urged officials in Chongqing to mobilize more supplies and manpower to support quake relief in Sichuan.
