Changsha Ranks the Top Ten most consuming Capital Cities

Transtlate According to the Changsha Commerce Bureau, for the first ten months of this year the total volumn of the retail sales for social consumer goods has reached 125.127 billion Yuan with an increase of 19.08% compared with that of previous years.
Statistics show that from January to September this year, the total volumn of the retail sales for social consumer goods in Changsha City has amounted to 110.157 billion Yuan which is in the eighth place among the 26 capital cities of China. Changsha has ranked into the cities with the most developed commerce industry.
According to the Changsha Bureau of Statistics, Changsha has developed its commerce industry drastically and has already become one of the cities with the most developed commerce industry in China in past few years. This has been attributed to the rise of the consuming capacity of the Changsha residents, the consuming feature of Changsha citizens to lead the direction of consumption, the good commercial plan and the highly efficient market construction.
Yang Xinglong, director of Changsha Commerce Bureau, stated that it was predicable that the total volumn of the retail sales for social consumer goods in 2009 would exceed 150 billion Yuan by the end of December, with an increase of over 18%.
